Custom Massages can include Deep Tissue, Stretching, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release Techniques, Nerve Mobilization and other Remedial Massage applications. During your massage I will use all the techniques in my arsenal including Hot Stone Massage, Cupping and essential oils to create the perfectly customized massage to meet all of your needs on the day of your appointment.

Oncology Massage is the careful and safe approach to massaging clients who either currently have cancer or have recently survived cancer. This can help with pain management, reducing stress, encouraging the body’s immune system and ability to heal itself, increased range of motion post op., and so much more. Often Oncology patients struggle with laying still for too long, so these sessions will be 45 minutes
Palliative Massage is the gentle comforting massage intended for the elderly and those with illnesses. This can include patients in senior centers, hospice facilities, in-home hospice care, hospitals, or those at the end of life. It incorporates gentle pressure, reflexology and acupressure to bring comfort and healing to the patients body, mind and spirit. As to not over stress the patients body these sessions are 45 minutes, as well.

“Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

About your Massage Therapist
Karen Barlcay, LMT, MMT has been a licensed massage therapist since August of 2009. She graduated from the Arizona School of Massage Therapy (Tempe, AZ) and has worked in wellness centers, chiropractic offices, spas and resorts. This experience has given her the ability to apply clinical techniques while also helping you to relax and feel pampered. She is certified in Hot Stone Massage, Thai Massage, Cupping Massage, Reiki, Nerve Mobilization, Myofascial Release, Oncology Massage, Medical Massage, Care Touch Palliative Massage, and Myo-skeletal Alignment Techniques. She is also trauma informed and will make sure you feel safe and cared for during your appointment. She will incorporate any of these techniques during your appointment based on you and your body’s needs.
